iPhone 5 Release Date – Now to be on the 21st of October???

Almost immediately after this leakage detailing an Apple fixture install occurring on October 21st, another one has shown up hinting at a pre-order date.

Best Buy will definitely not be in Apple’s good books right now. In the original article the site claims of the iPhone 5 release date set to be available for pre-order from the first week of October.

This fixture installation doesn’t seem normal enough according to sources. Managers required to be at work at 6am instead of the usual 7am is definitely not the norm. It is in fact the same thing that happened during the iPhone 4 launch last year. There were also reports of a meeting of the Best Buy scheduled for October 10 to discuss the upcoming releases. Now the question that arises is whether Apple is launching something new or rather what it is that it is launching.

At the top of the document it can be clearly seen written “Week 9/4 continued”. Now common sense indicates that this is the schedule set particularly to let the staff know about what is happening this week: September 4th-10th.

The phrase “iPhone 5 introduction expected, pre-sales begin for expected October week 1 launch” is in itself quite self-explanatory. It means that Best Buy is expecting the iPhone 5 to be introduced this week, and its pre-sales to begin for its launch as soon as in early October.

Then there’s the “Launch dates subject to change” tagged at the end which clearly indicates that even Best Buy is actually unaware of the exact iPhone 5 launch date, except that it might be soon enough.

TiPb reports of the shifting of the original release date of October 14 to October 7. Yet it claims it isn’t sure whether it’s now been moved back again, specifically to October 21 as Apple never pre-announces its products. Until the invitations go out and their executives take the stage the date keeps changing.

Since Apple haven’t sent out any invitations to any event yet it seems nothing is to be unveiled atleast in this week. A September media event hosted by Cupertino probably towards the end of the month would showcase a new range of iPods, and perhaps the new iPhone though it is merely guess work. Whatever though, something is definitely happening on October 21st.
