Apple is going to release iPhone 5 in September 2011, not at WWDC. Let’s check out what Brian White, an analyst for Ticonderoga Securities has analyzed about iPhone 5 launch date.
Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) will be held on this Monday in San Fransisco. So now its time to cross the fingers to know what CEO Steve Jobs will tell us about iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S). There will be also a lot to hear about iCould and upcoming iOS 5 to trump Androind. However, the center of the attention seems to be the iPhone 5 release date.
Now again there is a buzz about iPhone 5 release date. Recently, Brian White, an analyst for Ticonderoga Securities said that the iPhone 5 won’t be launched until September and he has given some strong reasons too.
Brian White gave recent launch of white iPhone 4 as one of the main reasons. Further he said; launch of iPhone 5 has become more of a function of marketing and sales than technical. According to White, Apple was smart enough in lauching of the white iPhone 4 that helped mitigate customer fatigue over waiting for the next generation iPhone 5.
Another point is that consumers tends to avoid iPhone purchase in the quarter preceding the launch of the new device. Apple ensured a seamless sales momentum going on with the launch of the white iPhone 4 that may have revised launch date of the iPhone 5.
So what do you think? Will we see iPhone 5 in September? Or is Apple going to reveal launch date of iPhone 5 at WWDC?
